Does our jewelry tarnish? Our 14k gold plated customs are tarnish-free and will maintain their vibrant look as long as they are properly taken care of. Our jewelry can be worn in the water and in the ocean. However, we recommend keeping your piece(s) away from water whenever possible to maintain that fresh shine. Remove your jewelry when showering, swimming, or before exercising.
Does our jewelry turn green? The short answer is no :) All of our products (unless stated other wise) are made out of Stainless Steel. We stay away from cheap metals that turn your skin green such as; Brass, Zinc, Nickel, Alloy and Copper.
Are these made out of real/solid gold? Any item that specifies that it is gold-plated in the description box is plated in 14k gold. Solid gold products would be far more expensive than the prices were are able to offer. We strive to balance affordability and quality!
Is plated jewelry bad? Plated jewelry is only bad when you try to plate cheap metal such as; Brass, Zinc, Nickel, Alloy and Copper.
How do I clean my jewelry? Wash with warm soapy water and a soft cloth! It's that simple :)

Paired with my mystery jewelry (a gold locket with my initials), it sits perfect layering length. The “rope” effect is achieved by the chain being twisted/spiraled around itself. Removed a star because the “rope” effect depends on the chain staying twisted on itself, it does unspiral pretty easy and requires adjusting to make sure it lies correctly. It’s the sacrifice you make to achieve a “dainty” looking chain

Very comfortable necklace, I’m amaze how the color doesn’t change. I shower, sleep, and keep it on everyday. The necklace still remains the same. Only downside it does tend to get stuck in my hair. Can’t wait to buy another necklace once the 20” is restock.

I want to like this necklace! It's the perfect length (after buying a second one) and works great with charms.
But, I'm finding that my neck and body must function different. As a heavier white woman (than the the beautiful Aliya), I found the 16 in dainty rope chain was a choker, and the 18 inch one fit me how the image looked for the 16 inch here. It also catches and pulls out my hair. I bought this chain to keep on 24/7, but I have to take it off after a few hours or all the hairs at the nape of my neck will get pulled out.
My first purchase with Stay Golden was a dainty rope chain bracelet, and it went on my wrist and hasn't left, so I'm bummed that the matching necklace chain doesn't work for me. They truly don't tarnish or discolor at all.
I'm gonna try to find another chain, but looking at the inventory, I kind of want one of the ones that are sold with a charm already on it. It feels odd that those chains, plain, aren't an option.
